1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, and comparable mechanisms used to recognize devices, remember information, or support website operations. In this Cookie Notice, we refer to these collectively as “cookies,” unless the context requires otherwise.
2. How we use cookies
EKOM1 Inc. (“EKOM1”) uses a limited set of cookies and similar technologies on the Site (ekom1.com) to operate the Site, deliver content securely, support communications, remember any optional settings you choose, and, if enabled in the future, measure site use with any consent required by law.
3. Categories of cookies we use
Essential cookies
These cookies are required for core functionality of the Site, including navigation, content delivery, request routing, security, spam prevention, and service reliability. The Site cannot function properly without them, so they are always on.
Analytics and measurement cookies
If EKOM1 enables analytics or measurement technologies in the future, we will use them only in accordance with applicable law and, where required, only after obtaining consent. Such technologies would help us understand which pages are viewed and how visitors interact with the Site so we can improve content and performance.
Preference cookies
If EKOM1 enables non-essential preference technologies in the future, we will use them only in accordance with applicable law and, where required, only after obtaining consent. These technologies may remember non-essential choices such as display settings or consent preferences.
4. Cookie inventory
The table below describes the main categories of cookies and similar technologies we currently expect to use on the Site. Exact cookie names may vary over time based on provider configuration, product changes, or security features.
| Name / identifier | Provider | Category | Purpose | Typical duration | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Security / session cookies (varies) | Cloudflare Pages / Cloudflare | Essential | Site delivery, request routing, security controls, abuse prevention, and service reliability | Session to short-term persistent, depending on function | Third party service provider acting on our behalf |
| Preference storage (if enabled) | EKOM1 Site / Cloudflare Pages | Preferences | Remembering non-essential settings or privacy choices | Session to persistent, depending on configuration | First party |
| Analytics identifiers (if enabled) | EKOM1 selected analytics provider | Analytics | Understanding site usage and performance, only with consent where required | Varies by provider configuration | First or third party, depending on implementation |
5. Your choices
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time:
- On this Site. Use the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer, or your site preference controls, to accept, reject, or customize optional cookie categories.
- In your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking essential cookies may impair Site functionality.
- Global Privacy Control. We recognize and process Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signals in a manner consistent with applicable California law. If our practices ever involve a sale or sharing of personal information as defined by California law, we will treat a valid GPC signal as a request to opt out. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, a valid GPC signal generally confirms that preference.
6. Third-party technologies
Third-party providers may place or receive information from cookies or similar technologies when they support our website operations or communications. Our current key providers are:
- Cloudflare Pages / Cloudflare for site hosting, content delivery, request handling, performance, and security functions;
- GitHub for source control, content management, and deployment workflows;
- Resend for business communications that may be triggered from website inquiry workflows.
These providers may receive browser, device, and request information in the course of providing services to us. We do not permit third parties to use Site-collected personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising on our behalf.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is not yet a universally accepted standard for responding to Do Not Track signals, the Site does not currently respond to legacy Do Not Track signals in a uniform way. Please review the Global Privacy Control disclosure above for our approach to recognized opt-out preference signals.
8. How long cookies last
Cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a set period or until deleted. The lifespan of a cookie varies by purpose, provider, and configuration. We seek to limit retention to what is reasonably necessary for the function involved.
9. Changes to this Cookie Notice
We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and may provide additional notice on the Site. Changes apply prospectively from the effective date of the updated Notice.
10. Related policies
For more information about how we handle personal information generally, see our Privacy Policy. For the terms governing use of the Site, see our Terms of Use.
